May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and explore ways to support mental well-being. At Northwest Mental Health Management Services (NWMH), we are dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and promoting mental health in our community.

Here are some ways you can get involved in the Portland area this May:
1. NAMIWalks Northwest Join the region's largest mental health event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Peninsula Park in North Portland. Enjoy live music, food carts, therapy animals, and more while supporting mental health awareness.

2. Change the Narrative Gala Our Annual “Change the Narrative” Gala is almost here!
Grab your tickets for our biggest evening of the year! Our “Change the Narrative” Gala is an evening of celebration, storytelling, and community in support of mental health and housing services in the Portland region.
