Throughout July, the Oregon Disabilities Commission, Northwest ADA Center and Disability Rights Oregon are hosting a weekly free webinar series to recognize and celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). All people are invited to attend. Webinars are held online, every Tuesday in July from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
▶ SIGN UP for any or all of the free webinars using this registration link. Each session will offer participants an opportunity to ask questions verbally and via Zoom chat. Passed into federal law in 1990, ADA prohibits discrimination against people in everyday activities on the basis of disability. The ADA guarantees that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else to enjoy employment opportunities, purchase goods and services, and participate in state and local government programs. ASL, CART (captioning), and Spanish Language Access will be provided. For any other accommodations or languages, email OregonDisabilities.Commission@odhsoha.oregon.gov.
